Norbert Modern

These clients saw the potential when they purchased an original 70’s home for the stunning river views and modern architecture. Removing a large, central fireplace and raising up the dining room floor created the open concept they were craving while providing more space and sunlight to the kitchen. In order to create more functional space for this young family, we added a mudroom from the garage and walk in pantry off of the kitchen. For the main living area, the goal was to keep some of the original impactful elements such as the pine plank ceiling and large wood beams while brightening up the space and making it feel fresh. In both bathrooms, we kept the colour palette monochrome with matte black fixtures while adding white oak tones and playing up some fun tile shapes and patterns.
